Manchester United’s Chief Executive Ed Woodward and the players have been carpeted for failing to support David Moyes during his short stint as manager. The criticism came from former Manchester United captain Roy Keane. Keane feels he was not given enough time to turn the club’s fortunes around and the palyers did not support Moyes.

“I think it’s a shame,” Keane said on ITV Sport. “I think he should have been given more time and some of the players at Man United should be ashamed of themselves. I think they really let him down. “He certainly had a hard start last summer when he took the job. The Chief Executive [Woodward] didn’t get the deals that Moyes wanted and it created a lot of negativity. They had a slow start and no momentum. Was Manchester United right to let him go? Did the players sabotage Moyes reign?
