Formulation of special financial policies that will truly liberate farmers at all levels is the only way agriculture will become a mainstay of the Nigerian economy. This much was said by the Kwara State Governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed in Washington DC.
He reiterated that the agro-business economy which was capable of creating millions of jobs, was being adversely affected by the harsh financial policies. He said such do not take into cognisance the gestation periods of agricultural produce which makes farming unattractive. Will a robust financial policy liberate Nigeria's agriculture sector?
