The Association of Advertising Agencies in Nigeria has said the organised corporate sector in Nigeria spent N125 billion on advertising in 2013. This is a huge increase from the N91 billion that was spent in 2012. The amount was spent on radio - N22.5 billion, television - N66.2 billion, outdoor - N23.7 billion and press N23.5 billion.

The position was made by the association's director of media Dr Celey Okogwu, who said if sectors like agriculture, tourism and mining go on full blast, the growth potential is huge. He linked a country's economic growth to the growth of her industries and advertising was no exception. He also claimed about N20 billion would be spent on the 2015 elections.  What can N20 billion to for you?
