The House of Representatives has accused the Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas (NLNG) limited of non-remittance of funds into the Federation account since 2004. The management of NLNG has however come out to debunk the claims in a press statement. The house asked it's committee on gas to start the probe as it was affecting the Nigerian economy.
The NLNG stated that it is a private limited liability company not a government agency. This means it is not supposed to pay any money to the Federal Government. Rather, all its shareholders get paid dividends according to the dictates of the law. Is the House of Representatives looking in the wrong places?
