The Nigerian Stock Exchange has recorded an upward trend in capitalisation worth over N5 billion in transactions. The capitalisation increased from N11.93 trillion on Wednesday to N11.98 trillion as at the close of the market on Thursday. This represents an 0.46% increase.
This was largely due to the gains recorded by some blue chip stocks before the closing bell rang. Mobil topped the gainers' chart with N3.86, Guaranty Trust Bank gained N1.90 and Oando gained 69k. The All-Share index rose by 172 points to close at 37,308.60 points. The NSE is doing well considering the spill over effects of the economic meltdown eh?
