A special fund of about one billion dollars has been earmarked for a new comprehensive program to curb crude oil theft in the country. The program will also curb vandalism of oil and gas installations as well. Apprehension and prosecution of crude oil thieves will also be a part of the new program. These were some of the steps being planned by the Federal Government according to President Jonathan.

The president was speaking at the Hague in a meeting with the Prime Minister of the Netherlands, Mr. Mark Rutte. He said a technical committee has been set up to look at all aspects of implementing the program. He then asked for the cooperation of all international stakeholders to curb the menace. What's with Mr. President, new plans and committees huh?
