The Nigerian Bar Association has announced its withdrawal from the ongoing National Conference (CONFAB) in Abuja. This, it said was as a result of only one slot given to it by the Federal Government which is too small.

"In view of the fact that so many legal issues will be addressed at the CONFAB, it is only fitting and proper that the association gets more than one slot" said the association's president, Chief Okey Wali (SAN). He complained that even the student body got more than one slot. Is it the number of slots that now determines effectiveness?
