Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Raji Fashola has taken a swing at President Goodluck Jonathan for giving the state a junior minister slot. He believes the position belittles Lagos bearing in mind the number of votes the President got from Lagos in the 2011 elections. He said states that didn't support the President as much as Lagos did got full ministers in his cabinet.

He made the disclosure during his 'Question and Answer' session to mark his 2500 days in office. He explained that Olusegun Aganga who was portrayed as the Lagos minister in the federal cabinet is not an indigene of the state. Musiliu Obanikoro was recently appointed Minister for State (Defence). This is coming on the heels of Fashola's comments about Jonathan spending too much time in churches instead of actually governing.
