Angry youth in Nassarawa state disrupted an APC rally that held at Government College, Nassarawa. The youth were protesting the alleged imposition of a candidate on them for the forthcoming local government polls. The youth selected Tijani Ahmed as their candidate at the primaries but the party imposed Abdullahi Ibrahim as the party's candidate.
They came into the venue with stones packed in 'Ghana Must Go' bags and started throwing stones at the podium immediately Al-Makura mounted podium to address people. The situation almost blew into a full scale stampede as most dignitaries had to take cover. Security forces managed to forcefully dispel the protesting youths with tear gas. The governor later appealed to people in the Toto local government area to vote APC at all levels. Same thoughts were echoed by Senator Abdullahi Adamu, Nassarawa West. When will party imposition end in this country?
