Further investigation of the Minister for Petroleum Resources have revealed she may have been maintaining two private jets with taxpayers money. She is being investigated by the House of Representatives for spending N10 billion of taxpayers' money on a a Challenger 850 jet. The second jet is a Global Express XRS plane. Both were used by Mrs Deziani Alison-Madueke for her personal and official trips at will.
The Chairman of the House Committee investigating the minister, Mr Solomon Olamilekan said reports reaching them have it that the owners of the Challenger 850 have fled the country. He confirmed that the committee had unearthed a second jet that the Minister uses and it costs Nigerians about €600,000 per trip. The lawmakers were visibly very angry and said the Minister would be invited very soon. Two private jets used by one Minister, on what grounds? For what purpose? To what end?
