Ex-governor of Anambra state allegedly doled out cash to lawmakers in the state so they do not open the books to examine his expenditure as Governor of the state. Elombah.com reveals that each lawmaker was given N1m, principal officers got N2m while the Speaker of the House got N5m. The money was shared in a rapidly convened meeting where Obi allegedly promised them parcels of land each.
A Civil Rights group in the state has also called Peter Obi's claims that he left N75 billion in the state's treasury a lie. Rather, they claimed he left a staggering debt of N120 billion for Willie Obaino to manage. They also said he never spent his security vote of N450m monthly since SURE-P was introduced in 2012. Most of the state investments were done in his name, they claimed as well. Did Obi leave N75b credit or N120b debt?
