GO YE AND CHART A NEW COURSE FOR NIGERIA

President Goodluck Jonathan inaugurated the National CONFAB today in Abuja as delegates arrived the venue to kick start the discourse supposed to chart a new course for the country. They are supposed to talk about pressing issues and find a common way forward for the country. However, there were clearly spelt out 'No Go' areas for the delegates as the President insists such areas are not to be negotiated.

Notably, all decisions reached at the conference are not binding on the government as it is not a sovereign one. Such decisions will be subjected to a referendum by the National Assembly. The President urged delegates to carry out their duties in good faith and help the country move forward. Will the conference produce results? Is it what Nigeria needs? We are waiting...
