The Governor of Adamawa State, Murtala Nyako has said that President Jonathan should stop shying away from doing what is needed to curb the Boko Haram insurgency. Reacting to the President's comments at the North East zonal rally of the PDP; where the President asked the governors to stop blaming him, Nyako said his approach lacked humility. The President said the governors had done nothing about the high illiteracy levels in their states.

Nyako said over 3000 classroom blocks had been destroyed in the region. He also said the Minister of Special Duties who met with Boko Haram members pointed out there were 1st Class graduates amongst them, they tore up their certificates in his presence so it is not a matter of education. The Governors don't control any security apparatus so you can't hold them responsible. Who do we then hold? Putin or Obama?
