MOBILE MONEY: WESTERN UNION AND PAGA COLLABORATE

As the Nigerian economy continues to go cashless, there has been an increased demand for mobile money services. This means there is a need for convenient technological  platforms to aid transactions. This informed the collaboration between international giant, Western Union and Paga, a major mobile payment platform in Nigeria.


The partnership allows users of Western Union in Nigeria to use their Paga account directly in dealings. They can then use Paga's multichannel platform to either pay into their bank account, withdraw from an ATM or collect cash from Paga's agents. Competition for the banks then, or what do you think?
