Awesome news coming out of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife. This is in the form of a wind and solar powered car designed by an Electrical and Electronics Engineering student, Mr. Oyeyiola Segun. He says the car makes use of both energy sources to power the vehicle. The car has a software that allows him to check its state with a mobile phone. An inbuilt GPS ensures Segun knows its location at all times and he knows how far he can travel with the energy available always.

Recall that some University of Ilorin students also developed an airplane prototype in 2013. Why government never supports these inventions and innovations is beyond understanding. Let's hope Segun gets lucky and meets a financial powerhouse who believes in his dreams so he can get to the mass production state. Well done Segun....
