Five former governors of the PDP, who defected to the APC, yesterday, asked President Goodluck Jonathan to stop bemoaning their exit but to find urgent answers to the problems bedevilling his party and Nigeria. The governors of Adamawa (Murtala Nyako), Rivers (Rotimi Amaechi), Sokoto (Aliyu Wamakko), Kwara (Abdulfatah Ahmed)and Kano, (Rabiu Kwankwaso) said they had left the PDP for good and were not considering returning to their former party because of the high level of impunity and injustice, which drove them away to APC.

The President accused the governors as being the problems of the PDP at a rally in Minna and said Nigerians should be wary of such politicians as they are chameleons with the way they change platforms. This is surprising considering the President has gone to welcome defectors from the APC into the PDP in Sokoto and Imo states recently. He also said it was a good thing the governors exited from the PDP as it was good riddance. How it will all play out as regarding the 2015 polls is unknown.
