$1.5m STARTUP FUND LAUNCHED IN NIGERIA

Tech startup owners and idea creators now have something to smile about as a new $1.5m fund has been launched in Lagos. Olumide Soyombo, who heads "Leadpath Nigeria" says the fund is focused on startups doing business in software/mobile applications, e-payment and big data management solutions. His team includes three expatriates who are well versed with the startup building processes with experience from Silicon valley.

Leadpath Nigeria is based in Yaba, Lagos a place which is fast turning into Nigeria's own silicon valley with the growth of technology hubs in and around the area. The fund is providing capital ranging from $25,000 to $100,000 for entrepreneurs. So get cracking guys, get your ideas out and head to Yaba, Lagos. That's where Nigeria's geeks are hustling!!!
