MISSING $20B: FG APPROVES FORENSIC AUDIT OF CORRUPTION POWERHOUSE

The Federal government has spoken about its commitment to getting to the root of the missing $20billion as claimed by suspended CBN governor, Lamido Sanusi. This is coming from the presidential spokesperson, Reuben Abati. He says President Jonathan has approved the audit of NNPC by reputable international firms.

This is coming after claims the presidency is trying to sweep the matter under the carpet in what the opposition labeled its “usual manner”. This was debunked by Abati however who accused Sanusi of whipping up public sympathy to incite unwary Nigerians against the government. No firm has been appointed to carry out the audit however.
