The screening committee of the PDP for the Ekiti governorship election has disqualified three contestants. They are Bode Olowoporoku who was disqualified based on his inability to produce his tax clearance certificate and a court ruling overturning his expulsion from the party, Peter Obafemi who could not produce his NYSC discharge certificate and Bosede Dada who could not produce her WAEC SSCE certificate.

The committee headed by Sen. Ndoma Egba made the announcement while also stating that 11 others were cleared for the party's primaries. They include Caleb Olubolade, Ayo Fayose, Dayo Adeyeye, Gbenga and Abiodun Aluko and others. He said all candidates had been given enough time to clear all issues. People without basic educational and tax certificates as governors?  I am sure Ekiti people are past that. As the battle for who wins the elections intensifies, Ekiti people should know their vote is their power. Endeavour to vote wisely.
