In order to clinch a Champions League qualifying spot ahead of Arsenal, Everton boss Roberto Martinez, has said that his team will have to break records. The Toffees lead the Gunners on the log with 2 points, with both teams having 5 matches left. Everton now have 66 points, which usually would guarantee a place in Europe’s elite competition, with five games left.

When pressed for how many more points they might need, he said: “It’s hard to tell, but I think it’s quite clear that it’s going to be the highest it’s ever been in Premier League history. “At this stage with 63 points, you are always guaranteed to finish top four. Now, clearly, one team is going to be out of that with that return. Will Martinez lead Everton to the Champions League?
