Most urban centers around the world are associated with heavy traffic and this is a huge cause of pollution to those that deal with such situations daily. They are constantly exposed to Carbon monoxide from the fumes and discharges of vehicles in such traffic hold-ups. Reports are linking such exposure to increased heart failures.
Researchers at the University of Washington claim heavy exposure to such fumes on a consistent basis can be linked to an increase in the right ventricular mass of the heart, which in turn leads to heart failure in some cases. The findings weren't conclusive however. This is asides the link to cancer that has been established in some reports. What are your thoughts? What's the average Nigerian to do now eh?
