TAX EVASION: HOENESS BAGS 3.5 YEARS JAIL TERM

Bayern Munich President, Uli Hoeness has been sentenced to three and a half years in prison for tax evasion amounting to €27million over three years. He was charged based on an estimated evasion worth €3.5million but he admitted the amount was five times the estimate.

He said the money was held in a secret swiss bank account hoping to avoid jail time with his admission. The judge however threw his admission out in favour of the prosecution. The judgment has sparked a series of tax remisions from German citizens hoping to avoid the Hoeness’s fate. That's how a sane country works... Nigeria, errrr....
